He truly was one of life's great gentlemen. Don was always in great humour and loved his work with the Cork Butter Museum. He was such a warm and friendly person and he did everything with a big smile on his face. He was so good with school groups, tourists and locals alike. As so many before me here have said, I was so lucky to have known you Don. And you may be gone but so many will never forget you. Be sure to make plenty of tasty butter up there in heaven for everyone to enjoy okay! Rest in Peace Don. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Don. Don was a brilliant man and he gave me and the pupils in my class so much of his time and effort in preparing science projects for competitions. All the pupils were mad about him. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasail is i leaba na naomh go raibh aige.

So sorry to hear of Dons passing my sympathy to all the family

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Don's passing. I often work in the Butter Museum and our paths frequently crossed over the years, and also very recently. He was a perfect gentleman; always engaged and engaging, he always made me feel good about myself, and I was always impressed with the way he worked, demonstrating butter making in public, in an accessible and lively way. I feel so sorry as you will all surely miss him greatly, as will those of us lucky enough to have worked with him. I send my very best wishes to you his family, and my
sincere sympathy.
