I commend you all, in particular Máirín, Aingeal and Edel, for your commitment in providing the care and love to both your mother and father in looking after them in their home. Uncle Donie was a gentleman and entertainer and I loved whenever we met him as he always had a story to tell. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. May he now rest in peace.

I used to love to see him when I was a kid and have some very happy memories of the stories, laughter and chat when he used to visit my Grandmother in Cork. I will remember him fondly.

Edel was our babysitter growing up and have fond memories of watching Match of the Day with Donie in Well House and chipping golf balls, chatting all things sport down the town park.
