I know Donie will have had many different aspects to his life & personality that us Mearnog alumni won’t have been aware of. But to us, he was the softly spoken, always smiling and laughing avid supporter of hurling. Everybody was so fond of him. His presence and impact won’t be forgotten and will live on in Paddy & Jim and all his grandchildren who are so fortunate to have had him as a Grandad and role model.
