Antoinette, so sorry to have only recently heard about the passing of Donal. We had great chats over a few pints in the Botanic. Condolences to your family and Donal’s extended family. May he rest in peace.

RIP Donal - what a sound man. A powerhouse for Ladies Football at Kilmacud Crokes. Always busy, getting things done for players, teams and for the club on days like the 'Sevens'. Over many years at Crokes, when a job had to be done, that required graft, he was there first and often had it done. His gentle demeanour around players was very reassuring for them. He will be sorely missed. Deepest sympathies to all of the Gallagher family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

My sincerest condolences to the Gallagher family on Donal's passing. Donal was a brilliant coach to a mad bunch of footballers and I have many memories with him that I'll cherish. He and Anne have raised a wonderful bunch, who never fail to make me laugh, for which I will be always grateful. Thank you Donal.

I have great and fond memories of 'working' and chatting with Donal, in Kilmacud Crokes, particularly during the U14 Ladies Football Sevens and at night when he rang me for a chat after matches. My condolences to all the family.

I will always be especially grateful for the friendship he shared with my dad, John Joe, travelling to games around the country, the constant football chat, and the many laughs along the way. We have fond memories of Donal, during our school days in Ballaghaderreen, to the nights in the "Mid Night Club" and the "Pattern of Urlaur". We played football together for his local "Kilmovee Shamrocks" football club. where he wore the Green & Gold jersey with pride. He displayed exceptional skill and dedication on the pitch,not to mention his love of football which was evident in every game.
