Don gave so much to Kinsale, including with his special tours for the visitors. Although I did not know him well I am so proud that he was the first cousin twice removed of my grandchildren! My he have the Light and Joy of God's presence. Heart- felt sympathy to Jill, Shane and David.

The photograph of Don ,with KINSALE in the background shows Don the charming leader much admired by locals and visitors alike. We all miss him . Most of all he has left a huge gap in the lives of his beloved family . May you continue to talk about him, retell memories of inspiration and love.

I never met Don, but I knew him through Rick Steve’s Europe. He had a warmth, passion and love for history, Ireland and Kinsale in particular. I am saddened by his passing and express my sincere condolences to his entire family.

It is with great regret that we heard of Don's death. For him the historical talks and guiding were always more than an added interest for the many visitors to Kinsale who enjoyed his erudite and pleasant manner of presenting the history of Kinsale. So sad that Don has passed. I only had the pleasure of meeting him twice, but he welcomed Susan and I into his home for wonderful views, lunch and stories of Kinsale. A good and gracious man, and I'm sorry I will not see him again.
