It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Donal Higgins.

Donal was central to the start that David & Mary Russell had in business back in the early 1980's. Initially David worked for Donal to learn the process equipment business for the growing Food Sector in Ireland before Donal encouraged David and Mary to branch out on their own.

Not only did Donal encourage the new entrepreneurs but he generously allowed them to use the Holden (Holland & Denmark) name which he had built up in previous years.

Donal remained a great friend to and supporter of Holden Installations Ltd. throughout the years and acted as mentor to a couple of generations of Russell's as the business continued to grow and evolve.

Donal will be sadly missed by all, our sympathies go out to all the Higgin's family for their great loss, May he Rest in Peace.

Donal was a best friend to my Dad Bob for many many years and a huge support to him in his later years. I could not overstate the fondness and high regard Bob had for Donal, indeed all our family had. He was a truly kind man and had a great sense of fun. As a young lad I was always quick to volunteer to caddie if Bob was playing with Donal as the there was sure to be fun and great banter. I'm sure there will be mischief now they are together again! My deepest sympathy to Merilyn and family.
