Sincere sympathies to the extended families on the sad passing of Donal whom I fondly remember from our many years as fellow Members of the SFX Boys Club and of course as near neighbours across the Bridge in Sherrard Street. Donal also gave of his time to the Boys Club over many years after he ceased to be a Member and became a stalwart during Fundraising events such as the Annual Flag Days and Church Gate Collections. Our relationship was by strange co- incidence maintained further through my association with Donal’s brother Robin as Youth
Club Founders in our Ardmore Montrose Estate. A true Dubs supporter along with his great friends (and fellow Boys Club
stalwarts Jim Kelly and John
Doran) It was my privilege to have known Donal for more than 60 years. A wonderful kind hearted and true Gentleman. May He Rest in Peace.
