I remember back in the 80s you would come down shamrock drive to see Shane Foley and the Foleys, myself Adrian Connolly Niall Twomey and a few others would go down to the GAA pitch and while we were on different teams, we would be often training at the same time.
Donal was around even if he was not training a team we were playing on, and he was always very encouraging and sincere.
My own nephew Seanie who is 11 plays GAA now and said your dad was always really sound to all the young fellas.
I had not seen him in a long long time but met him randomly in 2023 in VG in the queue. we had a laugh about marathon running and GAA
The action of death and emotion of grief is sadly something nobody can escape from.

Sorry to hear about Donal I remember him from Crossmaglen in Armagh in March 1985 when he came up with the GAA. Ballincollig won that match. Great memories of that weekend though. We met him personally that weekend. May he Rest in peace
