Following Donal's all too premature and final journey from Donnybrook to Clonbur, we want to express our heartfelt and deepest condolences to Gill, his 'four great lads'; William, Daniel, Andrew and Alex, his sisters Michelle, Grainne, Clodagh, Jean and Yvonne, brother David and extended family. Donal was a true and great friend for almost 40 years. Loyalty, integrity and compassion marked him out as a very special guy. The endless list of glowing tributes over the past few weeks will help to ease the pain. We will fondly remember great fun, on and off sports fields in Lansdowne, Ballinasloe, Galway and Clonbur. The memories will endure Donal. Rest easy old friend, you will be greatly missed.
— Barry, Jackie, Lara & Tom Brennan
Deepest condolences again to Gill, the 'four great lads', Donal's sisters, brother and extended family. You marked his, much too premature passing perfectly, in Donnybrook and Clonbur, his final resting place with his beloved mum and dad.
He was a true and great friend for almost 40 years. Full of integrity, loyalty and compassion. Great memories of happy times in Lansdowne, Ballinasloe, Galway and Clonbur will always bring a smile. Rest easy old friend.

We met here in Drummoyne in the 80s and have maintained contact over the years at weddings and the occasional trip. He was a good friend and will be missed sorely. So sorry to hear this sad news today. I was last talking to Donal Friday week ago when I was playing in the East Antrim Veterans. Still bantered me about my age and score! A great guy, oft overused, saying, in everyway. We met though business many years ago, but became friends outside of that. He was so proud of his family nd often told stories of his boys' achievements. Never failed to ask after my son nd wished the best for him. I so treasure our outings on the golf and rugby clubs on this island. Great memory of our last golf day at Killeen Castle when he slagged me constantly about my PING trousers as they weren't this years model! The sports world will miss this true gent. My sympathies to his family and business associates. Michael and James Ringland
