So sorry to hear of Donal’s untimely passing .
I flew with Donal as a Co-pilot in the nineties and he was a great example to me on how to operate as a professional whilst maintaining a sense of humour. Whilst our paths had not crossed in a long time I feel the legacy of his stature lives on.
So sorry for your loss .

Judith, Dan and Jim - my deepest sympathies to you and to all of Donal's family. Its not often that you see such a volume and range of wonderful messages of condolence from such a broad spectrum. It is a measure of the great character that Doey was. He brightened every day that I met him from the first time in 1977 as Aer Lingus cadet pilots and in particular during our B747 course in 1981 when we were paired together. He was a great colleague and gave great service to the Aer Lingus pilot body, often quietly behind the scenes. I hope these tributes will bring some small comfort to you all in these sad days. May Doey rest in peace.

It was my privilege to fly with Donal many times in his early years in EI. He was alway delightful company. He has died much too young. Sending his family my deepest condolences on their awful loss that they are now suffering. May he rest in peace.
