We were sad to hear the news. Donal was the first to call at our door when we moved to Clane 22 years ago. He was a great neighbour and a gentleman.

In our home, we affectionately referred to him as "The Judge." Our son, Patrick, who met him in the GAA club at the age of six, had a special memory of Donal wearing a particular hat that, in Patrick's eyes, looked just like what a judge would wear. From that moment on, it stuck, and he was known as "The Judge" ever since.

Donal’s warm spirit and kind nature will be missed.
