My sincere condolences Gillian and John. Your dad, Dónal, was a special person who showed kindness to everyone around him. We worked together for a few years at Ballincollig Rugby Club when he coached the ladies team. Always a gentleman and a great role model. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

I want to express my sincere condolences to all of Dónal’s family, friends and colleagues. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

Dónal was one of my instructors at The National Learning Network, and I have the fondest of memories of him. He was a genuinely kind and compassionate man, and had a great sense of humour. He was always very supportive towards me, and I consider myself very lucky that our paths crossed in this life.

May Dónal Rest In Peace, and may his memory be a blessing. x

I had the pleasure of working along side Donal In National Learning Network in Hollyhill for approx 10 Years and to me he was a gentleman of the highest order. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Donal would always listen to what you had to say and He ALWAYS had your back .He always spoke so highly of his wife and your mum who unfortunately i never had the pleasure of meeting . I have no doubt that they are reunited in Heaven together again . May he rest in peace .

I was fortunate to meet Donal while he was working with RehabCare and I enjoyed the times he would pop into Bruach for a chat and a catch up after he retired. Donal was such a lovely man with a great energy, kindness and an ability to create lasting relationships with all that had the privileged to get to know him. We shared a love for sports and I enjoyed having conversations with him and hearing all of his stories from his coaching days. He will be sadly missed and my deepest condolences to his family. RIP

I am saddened by the death of my friend and colleague Donal.He and I go back a long way to our playing days with Highfield and after wards when we worked together in Shanakiel Training Centre and more recently with Rehabcare.
A guy made for the work he did and excelled at with people who need that extra support to get through life.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Donal coached us in Highfield ladies in the early 2000s and was always passionate, respectful, direct and committed. He was well able to laugh at himself too. He made our team feel like he believed in us 100%, and that we could achieve anything. Donal gave us great quotes in his pre match pep talks, which we still use now nearly 20 years later. I'm so glad to have known him a little, and grateful to have been coached by him over the years. Best wishes to Donal's family and friends at this difficult time.
