Donal Roantree

I offer my deepest sympathy to Julie, Donal’s children and to all Donal’s family circle and friends. I met Donal as a fellow postgrad at Queens University Belfast. His gentle, kind and genuine friendship during our three years of study brought much light and joy into my life. I am grateful I had the chance to know him and I pray for his eternal rest and for all those bereaved by the loss of such a gentleman. RIP dear Donal.

My heartfelt sympathies to all the Roantree families. Donal was such a big part of my UCD days and I have such lovely memories of him, usually with a white polystyrene cup of coffee in his hand! He was such a special, brilliant, kind, funny, humble man and I feel very privileged that he was such a great part of our student days.
