Condolences to Donald family. We all grew up and played together on Marian Grove. May the lord bring him home to his parents.

Dear Heike, Hannah,Aoife, Deirdre and Eamon. I would like to express my deepest condolences on the passing of your precious Donal. He was always such a lovely guy. We played rounders in the field behind his house and all of us on Marian Grove enjoyed many great fun filled times with Donal growing up. You all did him proud today at the beautiful service. The music and speeches were so moving. He will be sorely missed by many as evidenced today. May he rest in Peace.

The world will be a darker place without him around, I can't imagine the pain you're all going through, you've been my thoughts.

I'm truly sorry for the loss of an amazing man.

In his life Donal was a wonderful father and husband. He inspired those who loved and admired him.

Through his time with us he has brought much joy and cherished memories to those in his company.

Those are the things that we will carry with us in our life, and that is how we can hopefully honour his spirit and memory.

These are the qualities of character he would especially wish for in his darling daughters and beloved wife, whom he cherished greatly in this life, and will continue to do so in the next as he watches over you.

May his strength of character be an ongoing part of your lives, as his life and memory was always in service to yours.

We express our sincere condolences to Donal's family, his niece, and his brother Eamon on his untimely passing. We all grew up together on Marian Grove, Rathfarnham. The Tobin family were distinguished by their decency, gentleness and kindness, and that is how we remember Donie. May he rest in peace.

A beautiful man, soul , generous spirit and loyal friend.
His knowledge in politics, football and music was always impressive and i will never forget the conversations we had.

I am heartbroken for you all. Donal was always there! One of the "gang", Neil's friends. So often in our house as a teenager and young adult.
Donal was a lovely, gentle, kind person and I know that he will be missed by many.
He would be so proud of you all today. Your strength is inspiring.
