My sincerest condolences to all of Donal's family. I grew up across the road from the O'Mahoneys in the 60s. I remember his dear parents very well as such gentle, quiet people. Donal was a gentleman and my parents were very fond of him. He was very much part of the 'local gathering at the wall for a chat' neighbours the Reidys, the Foxes and lots more from an idyllic neighbourhood we were blessed to grow up in. I also remember that Donal had a close bond with family who called so regularly in the 80s & 90s. A life so well lived ,may he now rest in peace.

We have been next-door neighbours to Donal for the last 43 years. It was an honor and a pleasure to live beside him.
We have fond memories of his friend Adrian and Donal at Christmas time. Donal would decorate his house with fairy lanterns going back to the sixties.
Donal and Adrian were inseparable
This was evident when Donal took care of Adrian when he became ill.
