I grew up with Donna as a child. I knew her mam, her dad and her sister suzanne. They were a beautiful family in every way. Its sad to hear Donna passed away. My condolences to her husband and her kids. She was truly a beautiful person.

Donna reached out to me back in 2022 through LinkedIn asking if I was related to Paul Kelly, which I was proud to say I am. From there youthful memories and an old friendship was reconnected and brought back to life! Through Paul’s stories I got to know her and learned what a kind and lovely person she was! And with that, my heart is heavy knowing I will never get the opportunity to meet her but I know her spirit will always be alive in our hearts.

Donna and I worked together for many years at RTÉ. She was the go-to person in Promos, ever polite, ever calm, no matter how urgent the request was. Her smile abated many a brewing storm. She was collaborative, professional and was always on for a chat, particularly about holidaying in France. She has been taken far too young. My sincere condolances to Jamie and the family. May she rest in peace.

A colleague, a friend, a true creative. On our many trips to Promax over the years she shared her love for family, tv, film, arts, music, and garden design. And how could one forget …. that laugh!

I grew up with this “Poppintree Girl”.

We first met on the number 13 bus and became very good friends through our mutual love of Indie/Grunge music.

I moved to Sweden in 94 and sadly we lost touch, but Donna managed to find me 2022, through my sister in Los Angeles (LinkedIn). She saw a picture of my sister, with flaming red hair and of course the surname Kelly and just sent a question asking Tara, was she related to me. The rest is history.

So I reconnected with the “Blackrock lady” and with Janet another dear friend. We talked for weeks over WhatsApp and it just felt like we had never been away from each other.

Last year we fly home to Ireland for holidays and we hooked up with Donna, Jamie and Janet. We had a wonderful day out and then another wonderful day over in Donna and Jamie's Home in Blackrock.

Those days were the highlight of our trip home, and we will never forget them.
