We will greatly miss our Irish Aunty. She was a lovely, thoughtful, kind and caring lady, strong with a heart of gold, who has always been a part of our lives. Rest in Heaven dear Aunty Queeny. Sincere synpathy to Dora's immediate family and the extended Histon, Kelly and Hennessy families. We met Dora through her much loved nephew Seamus and like so many other people, we in Cistercian College were indebted to her generosity which knew no bounds. Her sudden passing has left a void in many people's lives & in her community. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace with her loved ones gone before her.

On behalf of the Hong Kong students at Cistercian College we wish to express our sympathies to all on Dora’s sad passing . We have only heard the news since Mr. Hennessy visited Hong Kong last week . Dora and Mr. H gave us a memorable home during Covid 19, otherwise we would be quarantined for 30 - 60 days if we went home to Hong Kong. We enjoyed the magic of Dora’s mystical Glenastar home with Joe, Mr. H , and the lovely dog Max and the animals. We only read of places like this in books. We were safe and well looked after by Dora she even taught some of the boys to drive , and others Latin and Irish .She was a wizard of our time . We would never have received this opportunity in our homeland. Rest gently , Dora , our lovely Irish mother .

Dora was always such a kindhearted and welcoming woman who gladly accepted me into her home for 3 months during COVID. During this time I was able to experience the joy of her company and her warm hospitality. I will forever miss our visits and keep her in my prayers.

When i first started work in the garage back in 2012 everyone welcomed me with such open arms but Dora especially. We'd have great chats and she would always be there for any advice id need as a 19 year old at the time going through life. Newcastle has lost an absolute lady and she will be terribly missed.
