I met Doreen along with Tommy many years ago. I enjoyed her hospitality at our local branch meetings in their home. Such friendly people. She like Tommy were the best of what it meant to be a Republican. They both did immense work for Sinn Féin. Their visitations to Portlaoise Gaol helping out POW's on some dark days. The amount of people in Clondalkin who they both helped will probably be unknown. I am sorry now that I didn't visit her more after Tommy's death. Such a lovely women. May she rest in Peace.
