Doris Flanagan

Doris was a wonderful woman! She was so quick witted and funny with a kindness that made her who she was. I will forver hold our bingo trips in my heart. She passed on so much wisdom to me over the years and for that I will be forever grateful!
I hope she has found a place to rest after all her years of dedicated service to others.
I hope I will see her again after this life so we can share more stories and laughs. RIP from the bottom of my heart!

So sorry to hear about Doris RIP. We trained together in Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. We had great times together and she was a wonderful friend. My sincere condolences to her family.

I have just heard the sad news about Doris, she was a powerhouse in her life as a PHN. We always had a laugh, good chat and tea when she visited us in Hewetson School.

Rest in Peace Aunty Dor. I have so many happy childhood memories of the times you spent with us. You were a unique lady. You were always kind and caring, generous and fun.I still have the lamp you gave me when I got married, and yes I often think of you when I switch it on, as you asked me to do. I’ll never forget when I was 12 years old and my parents asked you to tell me about the birds and the bees! You tried to take it seriously and I started laughing! Rest easy Doris, and thank you for everything. You are remembered with much love always.

Dear Doris, you were a whirlwind, full of knowledge and kindness when I worked with you in Clane district. It was a real privilege to have that experience in working with you and listening to your stories. To the Flanagan Family
I have just heard of the passing of Doris and it breaks my heart as she was such a wonderful person. I worked with Doris in the HSE as a Doctor and when I retired in 2015 to work in General Practice in Clane, she had my dinner ready every day at 1pm (never took 'No' for an answer).
When I moved to Kilbeggan in 2019, she had a 3 variety apple tree delivered to me. To this day, the tree thrives and produces apples in abundance.
I will miss you Doris but your legacy of gardening and nursing remains.

Doris was a great friend of our family when she nursed in Portlaw Co Waterford back in the seventies.
A character, a lady and a genuine friend. We kept in touch all over those years.

A lady whose feet were firmly on the ground, she was a very entertaining character, always willing to impart her great knowledge and advice.
