So very sorry and sad to hear of the death of my dear friend Dorrie. I first met her at Ardmore in the early 70s. We got on like a house on fire and our friendship never waned. I last saw her September 2024. She was such a lovely person. My sympathy to all her family.

So sorry to hear of Dorrie's passing, I remember her as a person who would never pass you in the street without a friendly greeting and a smile, what a lovely person, sincere sympathy to all of her family

Mrs Peterson, was a very familiar and friendly face around Bray, especially on Florence Rd.
For long years a member of Bray Public Library, as indeed was her late husband John, Dorrie will be fondly remembered as an engaging, chatty and gentle lady, who it was always a pleasure to meet.
I regret that I was unable to attend at her funeral.
Gone now to her eternal reward and reunited with John, may Dorrie's kindly soul Rest in Peace.

Dear Murray cousins, the last of a great generation indeed. You all looked after our Auntie Dorrie so well, thank you. And she adored you all and indeed the Lynch cousins and all of our various offspring.

We should also remember that behind Dorrie's lighthearted exterior was a very smart, perceptive and thoughtful person, much respected by the colleagues she worked with, and sought out by many production crews at Ardmore. She had great grit - walking around the cliff to Greystones at about 80 yrs of age, because she was 'sick of the prom'!

We loved her and we'll miss her but would like to think she's drinking tea and catching up with Phyl and Kathleen in some other Mizpah in some other dimension.

With sincere sympathy to all Dorrie's family . Dorrie was a lovely gracious,kind lady with great faith. I got to know Dorrie at the parties in Eamonn & Catherina's in Athenry.
She was young at heart and enjoyed the bouncy castles with Caoimhe & Aoibhe , She will be missed by many .

Sincere sympathy on the death of Dorrie

As I was looking up a death notice on RIP, I noticed the death of Dorrie. It brought back memories going back nearly fifty years when John and Dorrie visited my dad, Denis (Birdie) Hayes in Kiltegan on Johns motorbike.
Dorrie was a beautiful person and I still have a couple of letters that she sent me. They were the first typed letters that I ever got and full of information about her life on Florence Road. I was fifteen years old at the time. When we visited them in Bray, Dorrie was always very welcoming and had a lovely tea for us. My sympathies to her nieces, nephews and extended families. May Dorrie rest in peace.

It is with deep sadness I heard Dorrie had died. She was a wonderful friend and neighbour I loved our daily chats.
