Dorothy and I met in RTC Dundalk in the early eighties. We were colleagues and friends. Dorothy was very highly regarded and was the voice of reason in the TUI. We were flatmates and then housemates. We remained in close contact after I left and shared many adventures in USA, China, Africa and the Arctic. She loved her football, especially GAA. Her cruel illness cut her of from reality. My sincere condolences to Frances and the

To Maura and Frances and all Dorothy's extended family, I'm sorry to hear about Dorothy (R.I.P.). She was a very well-respected member of staff at DkIT. and brought a wealth of experience having previously worked in the NUI and Navan VEC. Dorothy first taught Gregg Shorthand on the old heavy typewriters and she recalled at times it could be hard work trying to get a letter onto the page! Computers and Word processors came later and Dorothy kept up to date with all these changes and developments. She was very active in the TUI and partook in inter-college staff football in the early days and in the drama festival and choir. There are fond recollections of Dorothy's many contributions and friendships.
"I nglac Dé igcónaí í."
To Frances , and all your extended family .Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your beloved sister Dorothy
