Auntie Dorry was a generous spirit with a tremendous energy.
It was a privilege to have spent time with her on my various visits back to Dublin. Our outings to Powerscourt to get plants for her garden were great adventures especially the journey there at high speed.
I will miss her she was special to me, always kind and welcoming, a great listener and fun to be with.

Went to Ireland a few times many years ago where I met lots of other members of her family.I was lucky to see her a few years ago at Terry’s House in Florida. She had 5 Beautiful Children, she was a Great Mom.

Frank, Barbara, Tara, Terry & Barry, so sad to hear about Dorry's passing. She was such a lovely woman, always so welcoming even when there were a gang of us on loud bikes! As Darren also mentioned, she was a straight talker to & we all appreciated that. So glad to hear too that she was still managing to travel to Fort Myers Terry, as I know how much she loved spending time with you all, as she did with all her kids & grandkids. She will be a huge loss, but you have so many fab memories & much wisdom to reflect on. RIP Dorry x

Remembering Dorry very fondly - always very welcoming - after school, orienteering, parties, staying in her and Pat's apartment in Brooklyn the whole summer of my 21st birthday on my J1, weddings, funerals, or on my trips back home to Ireland from when I lived abroad. So glad I gate-crashed Dorry's 90th birthday in my tracksuit (though I think I was invited...) and saw her looking so well (as usual). Dorry was the one who told me that you needed to dress up to travel (I think it was so that you wouldn't be stopped with the sausages, rashers or smoked salmon coming into New York - and that was what I was thinking in my tracksuit at her 90th!) I had such respect for Dorry travelling over to Terry in Florida at 89 (something she did each year apart from Covid years). Lots of trips with Aunty Collette too and now one last one with her - RIP Collette! Dorry, you were an amazing, strong woman and you will be missed by one and all! Lots of love to all the family from Orla Cooke
Sorry to hear the news about Dorry, a lovely neighbour. Thinking of all the family at this sad time. RIP.
