Deepest sympathies to the family of Doug. He was one of the most innovative people I ever worked with and was a pioneer of his time in the use of communications technology. May he rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Dale, Wendel, your families and Anne on the passing of Doug. I worked for Doug in Blackrock for a few years in the mid seventies. He was a gent to work for. His mind was always busy with the next project. I met him last about 15 years ago in Bluebell and he was still the same. May he RIP.

With sadness I hear of Dougs death and wish to extend my condolences to all his family, extended family and friends. Doug was known and highly popular right across this island. I have great memories of him shared by many former RTÉ colleagues sadly now departed, having worked closely with Doug in setting up Republic of Ireland Centre of Royal Television Society. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
