I got to know Ann through a very dear mutual friend, Fr Sean O Riordan, who I know deeply valued Ann's friendship, wisdom and sheer goodness. Ann was also extremely good to Sean - one of the very few people who could boss him and make him take time off. I only noticed the news of her death this morning. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the funeral but I will remember Ann and the family in my Masses and prayers over the next few days. Brendan
