I have many fond memories of time spent in his presence both at your home and on the sidelines of the rugby field. He was an absolute gentleman. May all your memories of him give you comfort in the days and weeks ahead and may he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to family of Dr Dempsey on the passing of your father. He was our family doctor and he delivered me in 14th of August 1977 (the day Elvis died). He was beyond kind to me and our whole family. He was exceptionally thoughtful, even sending flowers on my 21st birthday and a card with memories of the day I was born on my 30th birthday. He went above and beyond for all of his patients and he was a true gentleman. May he rest in peace.

Dr Brendan (as we always called him), was my doctor from the time he came to Swords until I was in my 20s, and he was the kindest gentleman. We were so very lucky to have him in Swords, he was the best doctor around (in our opinion)! He did house calls, he came to the funerals of patients he had cared for, including my grandmother, and was an all-round fantastic human. Later, when I started singing, we used to discuss choral works and his participation in those, and we met him and Eimir in Bewleys Cafe on Grafton Street some years ago, while they were on their way to an opera. It was an honour to have him as our doctor, and I can't begin to imagine the loss you must all feel.
