Dear Carmel & all of Comhairle's loving siblings, it was with great sadness that I read of Comhairle's death last month , may her gentle soul rest in peace. I don't recall ever meeting her since our days in MMC and it was my loss that we didn't meet , as ( just like when I ever met you Carmel ) , I always came away from Comhairle feeling better for having met her! Her wonderful smile and infectious goodness made her simply radiant to all who knew her. Like myself , Comhairle loved a good auld laugh and many the laugh we shared. Whether it was Mrs Long's essay for English class , Miss Glavin's translation for Latin or Sr Alma's questions on Peig .......both of us were procrastinators , always last minute handing up the work , but somehow we always got there and laughed about it all afterwards (!! Her twinkly eyes are in my mind's eye as I write this and I genuinely feel very sad that she has left this world. Such a pity that we never kept up with each other, somehow our paths were never to cross. Because of you Carmel , I know that Comhairle had to have been a wonderful , warm and amazing Mother to her children. I will remember them and you all in my prayers . Now I have another friend in Heaven to add to my Communion of Saints. Rest In Peace Dear Comhairle . Ni crioch ach ath-fhas.
