My sincere condolences to the McCarthy family on the passing of this true gentleman. I was privileged to work for many years with Conor in the Mater Hospital. He was always very kind to both patients and staff. Rest in peace,

Sincere condolences to Gerardine, Geraldine, Donal and extended family on the sad passing of Conor. I have great memories of working with him in Blackrock Clinic. He was a very kind, quiet and unassuming man and it was a real pleasure to have worked for him, may he rest in peace.

I was sad to hear of Conor's demise and have fond memories of sharing a pleasant pint or two with him over the years in" Hartos". He was very good company and will be missed not least by his good wife and companion Ger. To her and the McCarthy family I extend my heartfelt sympathies and condolences. May he rest in peace

I have great memories of times in Hartigan’s and Dartry Park with long lunches and

dinners, roaring fires and fine wines and most of all his engaging and very

witty company with Gerardine lending to lots of laughs.

He was a genius.

It was a privilege to have known him.

I met him many years ago as a medical student in the Mater, and was struck by the ease with which he could move from being a revered master of the cath lab, into such a fun person when we would meet socially. As students we loved how easily he’d dispense with the traditional hierarchy, and simply have the craic with is. Always generous and tolerant of our antics, we had many fun nights in Conor’s company (under the watchful eye of Mrs Mulligan) in Hartigan’s, with his old buddy Dr Jack Smith (RIP) Ni bheidh a leitheid an aris.

My deepest sympathies Geraldine, Conor mc Carthy jnr and all the family on the passing of Conor.
I have such fond memories of him when I was a medical student. He was a humble and super fun guy, and his unmatched generosity and kindness to us is not forgotten.
We shared many a fun night in Hartigan’s with Mrs Mulligan, Jack Smyth and Conor.
