Your '70s black 'tache and quiff are forever in my memory.
Our shared fun and adventures in those student days are often fondly recalled:
From Mount Merrion evenings, "green seats" and Belfield Bar -
to stone strewn Newry and London's challenges.
Life then cast us in different directions, different countries -
but you are among my fondest memories -
always a true and honourable friend.
Farewell Comrade.

Sincere sympathy to my very kind & devoted friend ANN Reid, & to all Desmond's family & friends at this time of mourning.May Doctor Desmond's soul now rest in Peace. Mary Paris.
Very sorry to hear of Doug's passing. As a youngster on Thornhill road in the days of street football he was known as Rivellino amongst our age group (more for looks than footballing ability!). Will be in the UK for funeral and burial. My sympathies to Brendan, Ann and Niamh.
