I will always remember his excellent treatment and sound advice to our family at all times.
I have many treasured memories of Dr. Des, but the most significant was his quick treatment for our daughter Eimear, who was extremely unwell at 6 years old - and on the list for a tonsillectomy.
She was allergic to penicillin, and Dr. Desmond prescribed a course of velosef. Within 2 weeks she was brand new. She was subsequently removed from the waiting list, and I will always thank Dr. Des for that.
May you Rest In Peace Dr.Des, with your beautiful wife Dr. Philomena. Slán go fóill.
