Andrew & family, my condolences on the passing of Des. I was lucky to be one of his patients growing up and a visit to the surgery was always a pleasant experience. Des had a great warmth and presence, he was a brilliant character, with an engaged and yet relaxed approach and always a warm smile. No matter how ill I felt walking in, I felt better leaving - and I mean that in the nicest of ways! I always felt at ease and cared for, with symptoms listened to in good humour. Des had true care and dedication for his field of expertise and patients. He is fondly remembered, may he rest in peace.

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of the wonderful Dr Des Coady who had been my family’s doctor for so many years.

He was such a kind, thoughtful and gentle soul who had time for everyone. He had such a special way with children and always treated my daughter so well when she was little.

He was such a good doctor to all his patients and he will be deeply missed! Our condolences are with his family and friends during this sad and hard time.

We are all very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Des Coady who has my been my family’s doctor for so many years.

He was such a gentle and kind soul who would do anything for anyone. He had such a special way with children and he treated my daughter so well when she was little.

He was such a good doctor to all his patients and he will be missed beyond words and our condolences are with his family and friends at this sad and hard time.

Sadly, I only just found out about the sad passing of Dr. Des. He was my family GP since I was a child. Such a warm, kind, caring and humorous man.

Not only was Dr. Des an absolutely outstanding doctor, but his capacity to understand and listen to his patients was astounding. One could attend his surgery with one complaint and Dr. Des would know it was really something else.

I know that his patients had deep affection for Dr. Des. Every person he encountered was left better for the experience. There will never be a doctor or man with a gift quite like Dr. Des. Not only is he a credit to his family, but also to the medical community across the globe. He doctored by "first do no harm" - but I'd add "listen first attentively, diagnose after."

I offer my sincere, heartfelt condolences to his loved ones, family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, there's no words of comfort I can offer - but Dr. Des was well loved and loved well.

May Dr. Des' kind and gentle soul rest peacefully in heaven.

Our deepest condolences to the Coady family. Dr. Des was our family doctor from the 70s, caring for our maternal grandmother and grandfather, and our family until he retired. Dr. Coady was medicine in human form, empathetic, attentive, and charismatic. As a child, I was obsessed with his gold crowns and told my mam I wanted gold teeth like Dr. Coady.

Deeply sad to hear of the passing of doctor Desmond coady my mother Maria was a patient of his for years and was very fond of him a wonderful doctor in every way,sincere condolences to Andrew and all the coady family.

Dr Coady delivered me in 1971, and was my doctor until I moved to another county when I was 21. He was such a kind man, a wonderful doctor, and had a great sense of humor which put his patients at ease. May he Rest In Peace.

The sun got a little dimmer when I heard of the passing of Dr.Coady. It was a privilege to be a patient of his.

Deepest sympathy to Dr Andrew and to the extended Coady family on the passing of Dr Des. He was a wonderful doctor, so understanding, compassionate, kind and practical in his treatment of his patients.

He treated my late Mother, Teresa, for many years and was always so kind to her, always a smile on his face and time for a chat, while making sure that her medical needs were attended to. Indeed, he was so kind to me personally, following the sudden death of my Mother, taking the time to explain the medical practicalities following a sudden death.

My deepest , sincerest and heartfelt condolences to you , your family and extended family.
I knew Des very well at college in UCD and met him frequently at medical conferences in Tallaght and St James hospital during our working years.
He had an amazing sense of humour and I know what a wonderful GP he was. My daughter in law Ciara Graham lived in Tallaght . He was her family doctor and even after she left the area she always went back to Des for his expertise.
I saw the notice of your Golden Wedding anniversary some years ago in the Irish Times. You had a wonderful fulfilled and happy life together. I lost my own husband Alex 20 years ago. So,I know the grief through which you are going.
Time eases the pain but never erases the happy memories.
