Deeply sorry to hear of the death of Dorothy Keelan. I was introduced to her by my godmother Patricia Kavanagh who worked for Dr Pat Keelan, after the death of my mother. She was so professional, kind and patient and was instrumental in my recovery. May she rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to all the Keelan family. Dr Keelan was my first consultant when I started my training in psychiatry. I will always remember her warmth and kindness to me as well as her skill and expertise as a psychiatrist. I was very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her.

My sincere condolences to the Keelan family on the death of Dr Dorothy. I heard through my brother, Fr Enda, who officiated at the funeral mass of her passing. He wondered if I knew her from my time working in St Vincent’s Fairview back in the early 1990s. I remember her so well and was so fond of her. She was a beautiful lady who cared deeply for her patients. Indeed I still have a reference she did for me on my leaving Fairview in the mid 1990s. The connection doesn’t end here either as your late father, Dr Pat, was our father’s caring Consultant. I remember as a young girl sitting in Dad’s car awaiting him coming out from seeing Dr Pat in his rooms in Cowper Road. After our Dad passed in 1982, Dr Pat sent a beautiful letter of condolence to our late Mum. This too is still in my possession. It is a small world! So as I sign off, please know I am thinking of you and especially Dr Dorothy. May she rest in peace

My father Dr Cormac O Callaghan, who passed in 2010, was in her class at UCC and was always complimentary of her. May she rest in peace.

We, in Baltimore, had the great pleasure of having her, and her late husband Pat and their family as regular visitors, every year since the late 60's.
They were an integral part of the development and expansion of the Baltimore Sailing Club. Pat was a tough and enthusiastic sailor and administrator, while Dorothy was a quiet, serene contributor to all that she did. A gracious lady!
She and Pat were wonderful friends and we enjoyed greatly the many times we shared together.
