To you all Dr.Morrison you put a smile every day at SMOH and I enjoyed you in theatre.You worked alongside Mr Mullan two characters and you always said thanks to everyone as you left theatre.

We remember him and Ena at parties in our house and how they added so much fun to the party. He was a great colleague and his anaesthetic expertise was acknowledged by all. Sincere condolences to all the family. We have many happy memories of George and Ena from St Michael’s Tennis Club especially during Ena’s year as Captain Fantastic. Despite his best efforts it was evident how proud he was of his amazing wife. It is a privilege to have known you.

I was very sad to read of George’s death. He was one of my mentors at the start of my anaesthetic career. He was a consummate anaesthesiologist and teacher. He was also a master of the put-down and, when he had you on the ropes, he was merciless! But you always knew that he had your back. He was a total one-off and I revered him.

To Justin, Rory, Keith and the wider Morrison family, I am sorry to hear of the loss of George. I have some fond memories of playing in the Father & Son golf competitions with George and Rory. There tended to be so much banter between the fathers that Rory and I would struggle to get a word in.
George was always good fun and my last meeting with him was two years ago in the bank in Douglas where I was dealing with a clerk and George helpfully let it be known that “he would never give me a loan if he were the bank”. 😊 RIP
