Met Dr Brogan by the lake in Creeslough last summer and talked fishing. I'd some vague memories of his time in Gaoth Dobhair so it was lovely to meet him again. He was clearly a gentleman and his love for fly fishing shone through. Condolences to all the family.

Our deepest condolences on Jimmy's passing. I have very strong and fond memories of my early days in Gaoth Dobhair, and the times spent with Jimmy. Whether on the water, up on the hill, or in conversation, he had a gift for teaching – not through words alone, but through example, patience, and a quiet wisdom.

Those memories are woven into the person I became, and I will always be grateful for the part he played in setting me on my way.

He truly was one of a kind. His absence will be felt.

Dear Shane and Ching Ching, our deepest condolences to you and your family. I vividly remember the fishing trip in Ireland, the hot Toddy and the best bbq lamb cutlets I ever had, which your dad cooked for us in the rain near the lake. Needless to say, he was a lovely man with a good sense of humour.

Any consultation from my early days wandered off to what flies are catching at the minute or some hunting story when he shot a stag in some location most wouldn’t walk to! RIP Jimmy

I heard your brother James passed away. I am so sad hearing of James’s passing. James is resting peacefully in the Loving Arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is now reunited with his parents and all his family and friends that have gone before him. Sorry to learn about Dr. Brogan's passing. He was a quintessential, country doctor. I saw this at first hand on one occasion while calling on him as a medical representative. His phone rang and it was a patient who was having trouble with foxes wanting to know if Dr. Brogan could call out and sort out the problem. Dr. Brogan said he'd be out later that evening. Fishing and shooting were an area of expertise as well as medicine

Our family's connection with the Brogan's began over 25 years ago when Aoife and Stephen first met. A little later we met up with Attracta and Jimmy and a friendship quickly blossomed as both families grew in size. Jimmy had many talents and always some interesting views of life but his fishing tales were unmatched. Now the trout in his local lakes may feel a little safer. To Attracta and the whole Brogan family we offer our deepest sympathy. Our own memories of Jimmy will always remain with us .
