I have very fond memories of Jim from early times in John Scottus and the Philosophy School. He was a man of the utmost kindness and generosity of spirit, whose intellect and learning were gently conveyed to all whom he met. Words can not replace the loss which you must feel, but for me it was a privilege to have known him and been touched by his company. .

Dear Cresten, Shevaun, Liam, James, Daniel and Ben, my sincerest condolences to you all at this time of great loss. I’m broken-hearted to have lost my beautiful big brother. Even as a child he was kind, warm and protective. Later, as a student, he was so supportive and encouraging. When I did eventually achieve something creative or academic he was so proud of me. I sense this with his own children. He was amused no end when I described myself once as a dilettante. But he was no dilettante himself; he was the real deal. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann. Le doy gracias a Dios por haberme dado la oportunidad de conocerte y pasar tiempo contigo, por haber permitido que John disfrutara de su abuelo y tuviera recuerdos muy lindo de ti, sabes el todavía no acepta ni cree que ya tu no vas a estar presencialmente con nosotros y le molesta saber que no te vera jamás, se que John siempre te llevará en su corazón.

Fuiste para mi como mi segundo padre. Cuando yo apenas estaba de novia con Daniel, tu junto con Cresten  dieron su permiso para que yo pudiera pasar los fines de semanas con ustedes y no sentirme sola, siempre me hiciste sentir como parte de la familia sin distinción entre Daniel y Yo, me trataste como a una hija. Siempre fuiste muy amable, caballero y sobre todo muy dulce conmigo. Recuerdo que unas de tus palabras antes de que Daniel y yo nos mudáramos  a nuestra nueva casa, te paraste de tu mueble y me dijiste “te voy a extrañar cuando te mudes”, me sentí feliz porque se que no me olvidarías y a la vez triste porque yo también te iba a extrañar, te abracé y fuiste al baño, la verdad  que te ganaste mi respeto, mi cariño y amor. Te voy a extrañar muchísimo y siempre va a estar en mi corazón.

Dear Cresten and Family it was with sadness I learnt of "DOC" passing. Being the youngest in my family Doc came into my life when he and my older brother Frank met up at Queens University and became steadfast friends for life. He always had a great smile and a great funny and witty outlook on life I enjoyed listening to Frank and my older brothers reminiscing about their "Exploits" with Doc. No doubt that will continue when we meet and Doc will live again. He will be sorely missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.

I was so lucky to meet Jim many years ago at the school of philosophy. He always has a ready smile and the gift of making you feel at ease. I always came away happier after meeting him. Rest in peace Jim.

32 years a neighbour . Jim will be sorely missed . He was great company. He so enjoyed jogging around Marlay Park back in the day . I enjoyed my recent visits to Jim as he was such great company . Conversations would take us from Cypress to Malta and the North was never far away either but mostly we talked about family. He loved his family and was so proud of them all. We will miss our neighbour .Rest in Peace.
