So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Our paths have crossed for over 60 years, initially in Ballina, later in Skerries and in Fuengirola where we shared a table often with Jim and Peggy. It was always a pleasure. May he rest in peace.

Condolences to the family of Dr Loughran. What a great man he was, and a wonderful advocate for women's rights. A brave man too, as he took on the formidable institution of the Irish Catholic church, when he fought for our autonomy over our bodies. RIP Dr Loughran.

Doctors like Jim Loughran are very rare, house calls ,middle of the night calls ,he made them all,such a kind & understanding man ,may you rest in peace Jim .
