As a former council member and former president of the Institute, I came to know Philip as a wonderful council colleague. His dedication to the Institute and his professionalism were exceptional. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and worked with him.
Sincere sympathy on the death of Dr. Ryan who has served the Institute and its members so well for so many years.
I learned with great sadness of the loss of Philip, a terrific friend of the Institute of Chemistry in Ireland for whom he did so much and such valuable work. May he Rest in Peace
It was with deep sadness that my colleagues and I in The Institute of Chemistry of Ireland have learned of the loss of our dear friend and colleague Philip. He served as Honorary Secretary of The Institute with great loyalty and professionalism for over 30 years and we owe him a great debt of gratitude. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
