Joan always had an amazing welcome waiting for you when you arrived down to Magherabeg, with her big smile, and always a pot of tea to share. Her loss will be felt by so many. Our love and thoughts to Alistair, Verna, Margaret and Diana. Rest in peace, Joan.
Will always visualise Joan swimming in the sea and walking on the beach whatever the weather. She was so welcoming and interested in what everyone was up to. What a great lady. Sending our love and thoughts to Alistair, Verna, Margaret, Diana and all your families.

Sending heartfelt condolences to the Mcgeachin family. I had the pleasure of meeting Joan when she let me use Magherabeg as one of my PhD ecology study sites. She was wonderful company, so interesting and interested, and a truly beautiful person. I thoroughly enjoyed my visits with her, and she always made time to sit with me and have a chat and laid out delicious treats and tea. She was a generous, warm and kind person and will be very much missed. Sending you strength at this extremely difficult time x
