RIP John, a gentleman and humorist, whom I knew all my younger life and became friendly with as an adult when working on the bogs of the midlands in the early 1990s. Fond memories of summer evening drives through Offaly and Westmeath. Sincere condolences from Abu Dhabi. Ronan
Deepest sympathies to the family of Dr. John Scanlon. He was my G.P. for many years, which was reassuring to know such a gentleman in times of illness. I chatted with him on many occasions while he was at Carthage Nursing Home, during his time there. I will miss him dearly.
