Condolences to the McCurdy family. John is still remembered in Skerries Rugby Club as a much respected captain of the 1959/60 team. He is also fondly remembered for his humour and good natured encouragement of many the town's budding young sailors throughout the 60's. Rest in Peace John.

A wonderful doctor who saved my life 29 years ago and also diagnosed my son with a very rare congenital problem. You will be truly missed dr John. May heaven be your bed brilliant doctor rest in peace

It was with great sadness that I learned of Dr McCurdy's passing. I knew him from the time he was the company doctor in Technicon back in the 70s and 80s during which time he diagnosed a heart problem. He was hugely instrumental in nursing me back to full health following the subsequent operation.

Deepest sympathy to Pauline and family on the passing of a wonderful doctor who always had the time to listen and advise. I miss his infectious humour that always brightened a visit. May he rest in peace.
