Saddened to hear of Dr John’s passing. I had the privilege and pleasure of working under him as a senior house officer in Tulllamore in 1984. I never forgot him. A true gent, a brilliant physician, kind, caring and down to earth. He made us feel so welcome and valued as junior doctors on his team and took the the time to chat about anything and everything.
