Lesley was one of the very first people I met at the knitting group on Wednesdays, and right from the beginning she showed me such kindness. She was so patient while I whined my way through my first cable knit pattern, always encouraging and never judging. Later, it was her beautiful Colour Affection shawl that inspired me to knit one myself. I will always remember her generosity, her quiet warmth, and her wit. May she rest in peace. My deepest of sympathies to all who knew and loved Lesley.
An empty place has been created in alot of hearts that can only be filled with memories of a great woman and friend. I was so privileged that our paths crossed in life.
My deepest condolences to Vickie, Linda, Michaela and all who loved Lesley. I first met her aged 11 or so, when she was the no-nonsense, amused host of sleepovers and play days; as a grown-up, I was made welcome again and enjoyed Lesley's lively, warm company immensely. Her wit, forthrightness and general vibrancy of spirit will be deeply missed. Rest in peace.
I used to see Lesley regularly when our daughters were at school together and I really enjoyed her company. In recent years, we met by chance in Mount Usher - she was knitting away, saying what a great discovery it was for her after retirement. So sorry I did not see her again since then. Deepest sympathies to Vicki and her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Lesley in St James Hospital during the nineties. She was a great anaesthetist, a straight talker and always a lady with a great, if mischievous, sense of humour. I was very sorry to learn of her passing. My sincerest sympathy to her family and friends.

Many years have passed since we worked together, walked in Wicklow, talked of older-day Cork and of her daughters of whom Lesley was so proud.

Deepest condolences to Lesley’s family and friends. Lesley set me on my career many years ago when she brought over the Irish times with an advertisement for Physical Therapy that pointed me in the right direction and I’m still a therapist today!
