Have only just heard of Luke’s very untimely passing, our very deepest sympathy to you and the family. So many happy memories of times past. May Luke Rest in Peace.

So sorry to belatedly hear the news of Luke's passing. An absoulte true gentleman and a Royal Dublin man to the core. Would chat with anyone, would play with anyone and had great knowledge of the beautiful game. An honour to know him. RIP

God speed Luke, I'll miss marvelling at how you'd navigate a 40 yard pitch with your putter, the simple glass of smithwicks (with a dash) after golf or a glass of good wine. Your love of 'stuff' and how you hated to throw anything away. Your sweet tooth !! Most of all, your depth of knowledge of history and medicine and your total dedication to your calling. It was my great fortune to have you as my GP for almost 40 years. I will miss you. Deepest sympathy to Catherine, Lisanne & Colin.

A kind, caring, knowledgeable GP. He helped me through some dark times. Loved sport and history. I remember his newspaper clip on the wall about the fall of Singapore. RIP

Dolores and I were so sad to hear of the unexpected death of Luke, I have known Luke over many years through The Royal Dublin Golf. It was always a pleasure to meet Luke either playing golf or socially in the club. Luke was such a lovely person in every way, he will be sadly missed but will be fondly remembered by all.

Dr Brady was officially Dad's doc but over the 30+years we have known him, his expertise was regularly called upon by immediate and extended family, ourselves included. He always made himself available and supported us through the best and the worst times.

A thorough gentleman until the end. Thank u doc. Thoughts and prayers with ur family during this sad and difficult time.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of my good friend and Doctor Luke Brady.
Luke was our family Doctor since 1984. He was a kind, gentle and compassionate man.
He was a great listener and source of wisdom. He was a wonderful Doctor.
Luke was a regular visitor to our home to watch the TV program Against the Head on a Monday night. It was always a very enjoyable occasion.
I will really miss him. May he rest in peace.

Luke was a gentle, caring and thoughtful man and doctor. So sorry to hear of his passing. Will never forget him for the care he gave my late Dad.

I am really saddened by the death of my doctor and friend, Luke Brady whom I have been with for over 40 years. I still remember my first visit to his surgery. I had a breathing problem caused by allergy. He explained in detail how the lung system worked with the aid of a diagram. I was immediately hooked by his dedication and Dr Luke has been there for me ever since, right up to a week before his death. He wasn’t high-tech, he didn’t need to be because he had medical knowledge and memory equal to a computer. He was old style with a large network of medical support. He was totally dependable, sincere and very supportive, an interesting conversationalist who gave his patients all the time they needed in a very relaxed atmosphere. We talked about politics, world affairs, sport, restaurants and lots of other things as well as health issues and he told the odd joke, all while carrying out his doctor duty. He was a beautiful gentle person. My sincere sympathy to his wife and children on their great loss. Goodbye Luke, may you rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Luke. He was my GP for over 50 years and was a true friend not just to me, but to all my family. Sorry to hear of the death of Dr.brady. He was my doctor for a number of years, a visit to his surgery was uplifting and he always had a story and I used to say to him how did his mother know he was going to be a doctor because St luke was the patron saint of doctors , may he rest in peace.

Emer and I extend our deepest condolences on the passing away of our good friend Luke. I recollect so many delightful rounds of golf with him. A most popular member of Royal Dublin, he will be sadly missed.

What a wonderful caring GP Luke was over 44 years as our family doctor. What stands out for us was arrival of our son from USA at 5am on a saturday and Lukes arranged consultation with a Specialist Surgeon for 9am 4 hours later. Also when asked for advice at 11pm on a sunday for my late Mum Eileen in an emergency situation,although not her GP, he jumped into his Alpha Romeo and met me in her house to administer a morphine injection to get through the night, enabling another 4 years for her in 2008 after an emergency operation the next morning. What a wonderful compassionate man was Luke. I last saw just over him 2 weeks ago and enjoyed his wicked sense of humour as he analysed political and sports antics ongoing which made for an always enjoyable visist to him. Our deepest condolences to his wife Catherine and Lissane and Colin on their loss of a wonderful husband and father. RIP Dr Luke Brady.
