I was saddened to hear of the recent death of Dr Maeve Kyle.
Maeve and her husband Sean were at the heart of Athletics in Northern Ireland during my time at the Ulster College of Education and as a young teacher in Belfast. She achieved so much during her long life but she also encouraged so many young athletes to be the best they could be. It was always about commitment and she took no prisoners ! Thank you Maeve for your magnificent contribution to the Sport of Athletics.
My deepest sympathy goes to her daughter Shauna and to all the extended family.

I was deeply saddened to read of the recent death of Dr. Maeve Kyle. As a keen supporter of athletics in my youth I have many great memories of seeing Maeve in action in Santry Stadium. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam dilis.
