Dr. Margaret Paye

My deepest sympathy to the family on Margaret’s death. I knew her and my sister Anne knew Margaret when we all worked for Irish Refining (The Whitegate Refinery) in Whitegate. She was such a glamorous lady. Unfortunately, my sister Anne died 4 AUG. 2019. May they all rest in peace. Theresa

Dr . Paye was an outstanding teacher / educator.
We are both so grateful for the time we spent at Holy Trinity College and in particular to have had the privilege of Dr. Paye’s teaching.

Really sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Paye . She was a near neighbour in Laburnum Park growing up. I had the privilege of being one of her first pupils at Holy Trinity College in 1969 ( in thier first year if memory serves me right). I believe there were 8 of us started that year . A superb teacher ....really enjoyed her Chemistry class ......and the Physics class by her sister "Miss Paye" was equally good . I remember strolling through Leaving Cert in these 2 subjects after their wonderful teaching . Dr Paye was so proud of our achievements and of her new College . Happy times . May she rest in peace .

I'm sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. As an MA student in UCC c.1995, I taught Irish and Maths part-time in the school on Washington Street. Margaret, Sheila and Úna were lovely people and I loved working for and with them. I moved to Galway a few years later and got a job in UCG and called into Margaret on Washington street a few times whenever I visited Cork afterwards. She was always very welcoming and we used have a great chat. She was an inspiring lady. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.

We were very sorry to hear of the death of Margaret. May she rest in peace.

I was privileged to attend her Leaving Cert class just when she set up her College.
She steered many young people including me in the right direction.
She took a personal interest in all .
A super Educator.

Margaret was a lovely neighbour. She was happy to chat, helped out whenever she could, would ask after the family and raised a smile with her stories. We will miss her. Deepest sympathy to Margaret's family and friends.

I remember Dr. Margaret Paye when she worked at the oil refinery in whitegate back in the early 1960's and how helpful she was in solving what were for us difficult operating problems that we couldn't manage without her help.May she rest in peace.
