I’m so sorry to hear of this lovely Dr’s passing. I didn’t know Dr Adams personally but on an occasion when I had Surgery
he was so kind and funny and completely put me at ease. I always look back on this difficult time and think of how much easier he made it for me. What a lovely person who helped and supported so many. You should all be so very proud. He was definitely one of the good ones.

I never worked alongside Mark in anaesthetis but even on simply meeting him along the corridors of Whitfield Clinic either first thing in the morning or lunchtime or evening on the way home he was just a pleasure to meet . He was never without a friendly smile and kind respectful greeting .

It is one of the anomalies of 'online' bridge that we may never have met, nor even have communicated with directly, players whom we meet regularly in 'Virtual' Bridge Clubs. Such was our relationship with Mark. It is nice to read the warm tributes on rip.ie from work colleagues, friends, and local Waterford based bridge players. We extend our sympathies to Deirdre, Siofra, Finn, Maeve, and the extended family.

Deeply saddened to hear about my old school friend Marks passing.

We lost touch over the years but as youngsters were good mates. After we finished school at end of 1982 Mark came with me and we had a wonderful holiday in Cape Town.

I remember him fondly from my time as an anaesthesia trainee in UHW. He was an excellent anaesthetist and teacher, had a great sense of humour and always spoke so fondly of his family.
