Deepest sympathy to Liz and all the Mulcahy family on the death of your father.
I like many worked with Dr Mulcahy in Dept Health. He was the epitome of a gentleman kind and funny. He will be remembered for his work and civility, and a few dodgy horse racing tips!
I worked with Dr. Mulcahy a number of years ago in the Department of Health. I can only describe Dr. Mulcahy as a gentleman. Had some lovely chats with him during breaks from our very manic workload and the kindness and support he showed me will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences to Dr. Mulcahy's family and friends.
We are among the countless recipients of Mulcahy kindness. One couldn’t hope for better friends than Michael and Joan. He made such a contribution during his long, busy life. Sincere sympathy to Joan, Maria and the Mulcahy family.
Deepest sympathies to Joan and family on the loss of a great, kind and generous man. I have many fond memories of good advice, bad advice (mostly to do with horses) and friendship.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Joan and the family after the loss of Michael. He was a valued friend and cherished visitor to Perth over so many years. He, and all of the family, hold a special place in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
My condolences to Joan, Andrew, Liz and all the Mulcahy family on the death of Michael. He was such a gentle, good humoured presence and achieved so much for so many vulnerable people during his life. I’ll always have such fond memories of our chats in the kitchen in Merrion Road many years ago, including his passion for creating an Irish College of Psychiatry back in the early 1990s.

Rest in Peace

My sincere sympathy to Joan and all the family. I knew Michael from Stewarts and his time as advisor in the Department of Health. He was to the forefront in changing the lives of persons with intellectual disability in Ireland forever, opening up opportunities for them and their families. His reputation internationally opened many doors for us in the Department. There seemed to be very few places where he didn't know the key people whose advice and experience would be helpful to us! He was a true gentleman whose knowledge, advice and friendship I valued and will miss.
My sincerest sympathies to the Mulcahy family on the loss of a true gentleman. I served on the Parole Board with Michael for approximately seven years in which time I always found him to be one of the nicest, most thoughtful and intelligent people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His unfailing politeness never prevented him remaining staunch in his views, which invariably involved vindicating the rights of the most vulnerable. Outside the setting of meetings Michael was fabulous company and a pure gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
