To Michelle's husband, Peter, and children, Peter and Grace as well as the wider Smith and Costello families, we offer our heartfelt condolences.
We spent 6 years at university with Michelle and have wonderful memories of lots of fun and laughter (including tea/dinner time chats in hospital canteens during breaks in late night study sessions). Michelle was genuinely interested in people which made her a remarkable doctor, but more than that, she was empathic and kind, which made her a wonderful person. She was in sparkling form at our most recent class reunion in August 2025.
May her memory be a blessing and her legacy of love comfort her family in the time ahead.
