It is with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Dr Pat Keelan.
I had the great pleasure of working under his guidance both as a medical student and later as an intern and SHO in the Mater in the 1980s. He was always cordial considerate and put teaching of junior colleagues to the fore for which I am ever grateful.
I wish therefore to express my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

To Dorothy and all the family - my deepest sympathies on Pat's passing. I have fond memories of my time working with him at the Mater and remember him as a great physician of the old style: caring for patients and ever the patient educator. May he rest in peace. Denis.
