Our sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Deasy RIP. Your father Dr. Deasy was an excellent Paediatrician with wonderful kindness to all his patients and families. He looked after our son Michael at St John's Ward, Crumlin Children's Hospital in December 1969. We three were the recipient of his medical skills, humility and valuable time. Though outcome for us was sad, Dr Deasy was a huge support and despite his heavy work demands he hand wrote a personal letter to us a short time later. Over the years we have spoke of his kindness with gratitude. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

To the Deasy family on the sad passing of your Dad. May Dr Deasy rest in peace. A truly kind amazing gentleman who was so incredibly kind to his patients and to his colleagues. Dr Deasy was always there and provided so much encouragement. RIP.

Deepest Sympathy to Dr Deasy's family .I had the pleasure of working with Paddy in the '90 and what a kind caring and respectful gentleman. We had some great chats and laughs in particular in relation to his boat.Every Christmas we looked forward to the delicious cake baked by his late wife Pat.May they both rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Paddy's passing. He was one of the worlds great Paediatricians.
At a time when resources in Ireland were so sparse his dedication, intelligence and incredible work ethic set a standard for all of us, his colleagues, to aspire to achieve. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to all the Deasy family. I had the privilege of being his registrar in 2000 as he was about to retire. I have thought of him fondly many times over the years since. Besides his knowledge & wisdom he was such a patient and kind man with a special sense of humour. Everyone loved him. RIP.

Our son when just 2 yrs old contracted meningitis this coupled with severe asthma, having been transferred to Crumlin under Dr Deasy saved his life. Patrick very gently and lovingly gave us real hope where hours earlier did not exist we have always remembered Patrick with great fondness and will never forget His kindness care and humility.We pray that Patrick's family will find comfort in the many wonderful memories and experiences shared. I had the great privilege of training with Dr. Deasy in Crumlin in the late 1990’s. He was a great teacher and a wonderful paediatrician, one of the best. In May 1976,on a Saturday morning, we arrived at Our Lady's Hospital with our 12-week-old child who was stricken with meningitis. Within minutes baby Hugh was in the care of Dr. Deasy and his team and after some time this extraordinary man spoke with us and told us we had a long road ahead and a likely difficult outcome. Over the following 6/7 weeks, Dr. Deasy made himself available to us at all times to keep us informed and on at least two occasions we were called to the hospital when the outcome looked like being terminal.
Dr. Deasy's dedication to Hugh's care was remarkable, and his kindness to us can never be forgotten. We were so fortunate to meet this wonderful professional and saintly man on that awful morning and we will remember him for as long as we live.
We offer his family our gratitude and deepest sympathy. May Dr. Paddy rest in peace forever.

I was a patient of Dr Deasy as a child in Our Ladys Hospital in Crumlin .
What should have been a fraught time for a little girl was quite the opposite ,as I always felt safe secure and relaxed around this wonderful doctor.
His soft voice and kind eyes while doing his job so well,in his usual quiet but highly efficient way .

My sympathy to Paddy’s family. I only knew him as Dr Deasy, being an SHO in Crumlin in 1991 for six months. The things I learned from him still serve me today. He was indeed such gentle soul but firm at times as well. Great man, deeply missed.

I always found him to be a most kind and gentle person who was a wonderful support to the patients and their families and other staff. He was an excellent cardiologist who had a tremendous empathy with those under his care. He left a deep impression on me. May he rest in peace.
