My sincerest condolences to all Dr Petes family on his sad passing. He was a great doctor and a great sports man. He adored his family and spoke highly of them always. I met him a few years back in CTR post office and it was like being whisked back 30 years chatting about life and sport's. He was smiling as he always was. I was sorry to hear of Peter's passing. He was my doctor as a child and into adulthood. As well as being a great doctor, Peter was also an absolute gentleman who was always in good form and had time for a chat and a bit of craic, especially about Ballyhooly. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Grace, Dave, Paul, Owen and to his extended families on the passing of Dr. Peter.
Peter was mine and my daughters Dr. for many years up to his retirement.
What a exceptional, loving, kind, warmth and caring Doctor he was.
He was gentle and never in a rush. It was many a time he had to leave packed waiting room to attend to an emergency. He went behond his duty to attend to all his patients by visiting homes early in the morning before his clinic, during his lunch break and after finishing his busy work day.
He was so gentle taking blood that whenever he spent time in a hospital, he got the job of doing same.
No matter where I ran into him, he always had time for a chat.
Nobody will ever fill Dr. Peter's shoes. A gentleman to the core.
Thanks Peter for the wonderful memories you have left.
May Peter rest in eternal peace in God's Heavenly home, reunited with his dearly departed family.
